Jim Davis
Fishing isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s my life’s passion. As a dedicated kayak angler, I specialize in targeting a variety of species, from freshwater Salmon, Steelhead, and Walleye to saltwater favorites like lingcod and halibut.
Achievements:
- In 2024, I earned a spot on the USA Saltwater Kayak Fishing Team and competed in the Saltwater Kayak Fishing World Championship in Valencia, Spain, where I placed 8th individually and our team ranked 5th overall. I’m now preparing for the Pan Am Saltwater World Championship in La Paz, Mexico, in March 2025.
- NWKA Angler of the Year (2018) for Multi-Species Competition across WA, OR, ID, BC, and AK.
- Three-time Washington Kayak Bass Fishing (WKBF) Angler of the Year (2019, 2020, 2022) with a runner-up finish in 2021.
- Champion of the 2024 Brownlee Crappie Shootout
Community and Advocacy
Since 2018, I’ve served as Tournament Director for WKBF, tripling participation by enhancing the angler experience and supporting our sponsors. I manage social media pages like Tri-City Kayak Anglers (TCKA), Washington Kayak Bass Fishing (WKBF), and Kayak Fishing Addicts NW, sharing insights and fostering community connections.
Brand Representation
I proudly represent Mack’s Lure, Legacy Fishing, Northwest Outdoorsman Rods, and Trophy Lures – Three Rivers Tackle, promoting these brands through seminars, radio interviews, and other platforms. I have also contributed to Mack’s Lure’s Mack Attack newsletter and been featured in Kayak Angler Magazine.
